Seton Hill hosted Walsh on a cold and rainy Wednesday afternoon in the G-MAC Semifinal in Greensburg, PA.
Walsh scored the opening two goals but the Griffins scored 14 of the next 15 goals in route to a 20-5 victory over the Cavaliers. SHU is now 15-2 on the season. Walsh ends the season with a 9-9 record.
Walsh scored the first two goals of the contest and held a 2-0 lead until the 8:35 mark when
Dexter Hannigan scored the first of his eight goals.
Michael Coleman scored to tie the contest at two with 2:13 left in the quarter. Hannigan scored the final two goals of the quarter as the Griffins took a 4-2 lead.
Carter Li scored three times in the first five minutes as the Griffins scored 5 goals in 5 minutes as they built a 9-2 lead with 10 minutes left in the first half.
Riley Grudi and Hannigan scored the other two goals in the 5-0 run. The Cavs scored the next goal but
Aydric Burleigh scored after winning a face off to push the lead back to 10-3 with 6:31 left. Hannigan added a man up goal and
Carter Green added a goal as the Griffins built a 12-3 halftime lead.
Nate Herbster and Hannigan scored a minute apart as the Griffins extended their lead to 14-3 with 10 minutes to play in the third. Walsh scored the next two to close out the third quarter scoring.
Li, Herbster and Hannigan each scored a pair of goals in the fourth quarter.
Hannigan led the Griffins with 8 goals and an assist. Li added five goals and 2 assists. Herbster added 3 goals and 2 assists. Burleigh was 12-20 in faceoffs with 9 ground balls.
Cullen Green added 6 ground balls.

SHU will host the winner of the Davenport/Northwood semifinal on Saturday afternoon at noon.
