Women's Lacrosse Closes Regular Season with Win

Seton Hill concluded PSAC West play as they traveled to Gannon for a conference matchup on Saturday afternoon as they concluded their regular season.  

The Griffins were able to pull away in the fourth quarter in a 9-4 victory over the Golden Knights.  SHU is now 10-6 overall and 7-3 in the west.  

The first half of the contest was very low scoring with each team scoring once in each of the first two quarters.  Sydney Marusko got the Griffins on the scoreboard first with a goal with 11:17 left in the first quarter.  Gannon tied the score at one with a goal with nine minutes to play.  The Golden Knights took a 2-1 lead with a goal with 11:19 left in the second quarter.  Mila Udovicic tied the score at two with a goal with ten minutes to play in the first half.  

Mya Hibsman put the Griffins back in front with a goal with 8:44 left in the third.  A little over two minutes later Carley O'Mara scored to extend the lead to 4-2.  Gannon scored with 19 seconds left to trim the lead to 4-3.  

The Griffins opened the fourth quarter scoring the first five goals.  Amara Forsyth, Ruby DePalma and Marusko scored within the first four minutes of the quarter as SHU took a 7-3 lead.  Udovicic and Marusko scored in the final five minutes to extend the Griffin lead.  

Marusko led the Griffins with three goals.  Udovicic added two goals and 3 assists with 6 draw controls.  DePalma and Forsyth each added a goal and assist.  Katelyn Patts recorded nine saves.  

The Griffins will host a PSAC Tournament first round contest on Tuesday afternoon.
