Seton Hill hosted third seed from the east Kutztown in the first round of the PSAC Tournament in Greensburg on Tuesday afternoon.
The Golden Bears built an 11-4 halftime lead and pulled away in the second half in route to a 19-6 win over the Griffins. SHU ends their season at 10-7. Kutztown advances to the PSAC Semifinal and is 13-5 on the season.
Kutztown scored the first two goals of the contest and led 2-0 with 8:54 left in the first.
Carley O'Mara cut the lead to 2-1 with a goal at the 8:13 mark. The Golden Bears added a third goal before
Elena Traficante scored at the 4:05 mark to trim the lead to 3-2. KU scored the final two goals of the quarter as they built a 5-2 lead over the Griffins.
The Golden Bears scored the first two goals of the second quarter and led 7-2 at the ten minute mark.
Lani Filoon scored with 9:27 left to trim the lead to 7-3. KU scored the next four before
Ruby DePalma scored the final goal of the half that trimmed the lead to 11-4 at the halftime break.
Kutztown outscored the Griffins 6-1 in the third quarter with
Mila Udovicic scoring the lone Griffin goal. Udovicic scored the lone Griffin goal in the fourth quarter.
Udovicic led the Griffins with 2 goals and an assist. DePalma added a goal and assist.
