Seton Hill continued conference play as they traveled to Clarion for a PSAC West doubleheader on Friday afternoon.
The Griffins scored three times with two outs in the top of the seventh inning for a 6-5 come from behind win in game one. Clarion defeated the Griffins 5-3 in game two to earn the split. SHU is now 22-19 overall and 15-7 in the west. Â
Clarion used a pair of RBI singles in the bottom of the first inning to take a 2-0 lead over the Griffins.
Shelby Telegdy and
Danielle Terpack singled to put runners on first and third. Pinch runners
Chloe Orecchio and
Lexie Washington executed a double steal with Orecchio stealing home to cut the lead to 2-1. Â
The Golden Eagles increased their lead to 3-1 in the bottom of the second inning. SHU tied the game in the top of the fourth. Telegdy led off the inning with a single and scored on a two run shot from Terpack. Â
Clarion used a bases loaded walk to take a 4-3 lead over the Griffins. The Golden Eagles pushed their lead to 5-3 in the bottom of the sixth inning. Â
The Griffins rallied in the seventh after they were down to their final out.Â
Abby Dejidas doubled with two outs.Â
Kassidy Wittig singled to score Dejidas that cut the lead to 5-4.Â
Lacey Lynn followed with a two out, two run go ahead homer that put the Griffins in front 6-5. Â
Telegdy and Terpack each had two hits for the Griffins. Â
Clarion scored single runs in the second and third and added a two spot in the fourth to take a 4-0 lead over the Griffins in game two. The Golden Eagles added a fifth run in the bottom of the fifth. Â
SHU cut the lead to 5-3 in the sixth. Wittig doubled to lead off the inning. Terpack singled to score Wittig and cut the lead to 5-1.Â
Taylor Schmitt doubled to put runners on second and third.Â
Skylah Steban doubled to score two and trim the lead to two. Â
Dejidas, Wittig and Terpack each had two hits in game two. Â
The Griffins will continue PSAC West play as they travel to Slippery Rock on Saturday.  Â
