Seton Hill hosted #7 Slippery Rock on Wednesday afternoon in a PSAC West contest.
Slippery Rock outscored the Griffins 7-0 in the second half in route to a 10-6 victory over the Griffins. SHU falls to 9-6 overall and 6-3 in the west while the Rock improves to 16-0 overall and 9-0 in the PSAC West.
The Griffins got on the board a little over a minute into the contest on a goal from
Mila Udovicic. The Rock tied the score at one with 11:48 left in the quarter.
Sydney Marusko put the Griffins back in front with a goal with 8:04 to play in the first.
Ruby DePalma scored with 1:45 left as the Griffins took a 3-1 lead. The Rock scored a late goal to cut the Griffin lead to 3-2.
Amara Forsyth and Maruskp scorred goals just over a minute apart as the Griffins extended their lead to 5-2 with 6:32 left in the first half. The Rock cut the lead to two with a goal with just under two minutes to play. SHU then got a free position shot goal from Forsyth with 41 seconds to play in the half as SHU carried a 6-3 lead into the second half.
The second half was all Slippery Rock. The Rock scored three goals over a four minute stretch in the middle of the third quarter to tie the contest at six. The Rock then scored a pair of goals early in the fourth quarter then put the game away with a pair of goals late in the quarter.
Forsyth and Marusko each scored a pair of goals. Udovicic added a goal and 2 assists.
SHU will close out the regular season on Saturday as they travel to Gannon.
