Seton Hill returned to conference play as they hosted Edinboro for a PSAC West doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.
The Griffins won game one 11-2 in five innings. SHU completed the sweep with a 15-6 win in game two. The Griffins are now 21-18 overall and 14-6 in the west. Â
SHU scored six times in the first inning of game one.Â
Abby Dejidas walked and stole second. She scored on a double from
Kassidy Wittig.Â
Lacey Lynn scored Wittig on a single.Â
Shelby Telegdy doubled.Â
Danielle Terpack singled in a pair of runs to make it 4-0.Â
Lily Reidy and
McKenna DeUnger added RBI singles to make it 6-0. Â
The Griffins added four more in the second. Terpack knocked in the first run. Reidy added a run on a sacrifice fly.Â
Angelina LaMarca doubled in two to give SHU a 10-0 lead.Â
Taylor Schmitt added a RBI single in the fourth to make it 11-0. Â
Wittig, Telegdy and Terpack each added two hits. Terpack drove in three. Â
Edinboro scored six times in the first inning of game two.
The Griffins got four of those runs back in the bottom of the second. With two outs,
Amber Wilkes singled. Dejidas and Wittig walked. Lynn then cleared the bases with a grand slam to center field that cut the lead to 6-4. Â
SHU took the lead in the third. LaMarca drew a leadoff walk.Â
Maddie Miller and Wilkes singled to load the bases. Dejidas singled to drive in two and the go ahead run scored on an error to give SHU a 7-6 lead. SHU then used a double steal to make it 8-6. Â
The Griffins added a run on an error and wild pitch to extend the lead to 10-6. Dejidas drew a bases loaded walk to make it 11-6. Wittig increased the lead to 15-6 with a grand slam. Â
Telegdy and Wilkes each had two hits. Lynn and Wittig each drove in four. Dejidas drove in three.Â
Maddie Miller threw four scoreless innings to earn the win. Â
The Griffins will continue PSAC West play as they travel to Clarion on Friday.  Â
