Seton Hill returned to conference play as they hosted Gannon for a PSAC West doubleheader on Friday afternoon.
The Griffins took game one by a 5-3 score. Seton Hill completed the sweep of Gannon with a 14-2 win in game two. SHU is now 19-18 overall and 12-6 in the PSAC West. Â
It did not take the Griffins long to get on the scoreboard in game one.Â
Abby Dejidas singled to lead off the first inning and scored on a double from
Kassidy Wittig.Â
Taylor Schmitt followed with an RBI double to give SHU a 2-0 lead.Â
Shelby Telegdy added an RBI single and the Griffins led 3-0. Â
SHU added another run in the third. Wittig was hit by a pitch and stole second. She scored on a
Lacey Lynn RBI single. Gannon scored a run in the top of the fourth. SHU got that run back in the bottom of the fourth.Â
McKenna DeUnger walked and scored on a Dejidas RBI single as SHU took a 5-1 lead. Â
Gannon scored a pair in the top of the fifth to cut the SHU lead to 5-3. Â
Dejidas and Telegdy each had two hits in game one. Â
The Griffins jumped on Gannon in the first inning of game two. Dejidas and Wittig singled to lead off the inning. Lynn followed with a three run shot to right to give SHU a 3-0 lead. Schmitt walked and Telegdy homered to right center as the Griffins took a 5-0 lead.Â
Angelina LaMarca singled and DeUnger followed with a two RBI double as the Griffins led 7-0. Â
SHU put up another seven spot in the third inning.Â
Gabby Jaquay and DeUnger reached on error to start the inning. Dejidas reached on a bunt base hit to load the bases. Lynn reached on an error with a run scoring. Schmitt then cleared the bases with a grand slam that gave the Griffins a 12-0 lead.Â
Danielle Terpack singled and LaMarca doubled. Both scored on a two RBI single from Jaquay. Â
Dejidas and LaMarca each had two hits. Schmitt drove in four, Lynn drove in three and Telegdy added two RBIs. Â
The Griffins will continue PSAC West play as they host Edinboro on Saturday.  Â
