Seton Hill hosted Adelphi in a top four matchup in Greensburg on Sunday afternoon.
The top ranked Panthers led 3-0 after the first quarter and held the Griffin offense to its lowest total since 2017 as the Panthers defeated the Griffins by the score of 10-3. SHU falls to 4-1 while Adelphi improves to 4-0,
Adelphi scored three times in the final eight minutes of the first quarter as they took a 3-0 lead over the Griffins after one quarter of action.
Dexter Hannigan scored just over a minute into the second quarter to trim the lead to 3-1. The Panthers answered back with three goals to build a 6-1 lead with 3:14 to play in the half.
Kaden Granberg scored with just over a minute left in the half to trim the halftime lead to 6-2.
The Panthers scored the first goal of the third quarter less than a minute in.
Riley Grudi scored the final Griffin goal with just over seven minutes left in the third. The Panthers scored the final three goals of the contest.
Granberg led SHU with a goal and assist.
Will Cody recorded 14 saves in the net.
SHU will travel to Thomas More next Saturday as they return to G-MAC play.
