Seton Hill returned to the field following a day off in Florida as they took on Ashland at NE Regional Park in Davenport on Thursday morning.
Ashland scored multiple runs in four innings as they defeated the Griffins by the score of 12-5. SHU falls to 8-3 overall while Ashland improves to 5-5.
The Eagles took a 2-0 lead in the first inning. The Griffins tied the score in the top of the fourth.
Owen Mandler led off with a single and scored when
Brady Stone homered.
Ashland answered with four in the fourth and two in the fifth as they took an 8-2 lead. SHU picked up a run in the sixth on a sacrifice fly from
Nate Simon.
Jakob Haynes hit a two run homer in the top of the seventh.
Colin Ahr, Haynes and Stone each had two hits. Stone and Haynes added two RBI.
SHU will close out their Florida trip vs Minnesota State on Friday.
