Seton Hill traveled to #2 seed from the East, Kutztown for the PSAC Quarterfinal round on Wednesday evening.
The Griffins jumped out to a 19-2 lead after one quarter of action and cruised to their first ever PSAC Final Four with a 79-54 victory. SHU is now 21-7 on the season.
SHU scored the first six points of the contest as they led 6-0 just over a minute into the game. The Golden Bears scored with 6:17 left in the quarter to trim the lead to 6-2 but would not score another point in the quarter as they Griffins led 19-2 after one.
Shaye Bailey scored five of the final six points of the quarter.
KU scored their first basket of the second quarter at the 8:08 mark as the Griffins kept the Golden Bears off the scoreboard for nearly eight minutes as they led 21-4. SHU then scored the next nine points as they pushed their lead to 30-9 with less than five minutes to play in the half. The Golden Bears cut the lead to 18 at one point but SHU took a 38-16 lead into the halftime break.
Kutztown made a late run in the third quarter as they cut the SHU lead to 48-32 with 50 seconds left in the third.
The Griffins put the game away with an 11-0 run to start the fourth quarter.
Helene Cowan scored a game high 24 points.
Mia Kalich had a double double of 19 points and 13 rebounds.
Hailee Ford added a double double of 15 points and 10 rebounds.
SHU will play PSAC Final Four host Gannon in the PSAC Semifinal on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 PM.
