Seton Hill continued their Florida Spring Break trip with a non conference matchup with Rollins in Winter Park, Florida.
The Tars had a four run and five run inning as they defeated the Griffins 10-3. SHU drops to 8-2 on the season while Rollins improves to 14-4.
The Griffins took a 1-0 lead in the first inning. With two outs,
Colin Ahr doubled and scored on a
Jakob Haynes RBI single. Rollins then scored four times in the second to take a 4-1 lead.
SHU got one run back in the fourth on a leadoff homer from Haynes.
The Tars then scored five in the fifth and one in the sixth to take a 10-2 lead. In the eighth,
Nate Simon was hit by a pitch.
Jack Whalen singled to put two runners on. After a fielders choice, Ahr knocked in Simon with a sac fly.
Haynes led the Griffins with two hits and two RBI.
Evan Rossi threw two scoreless innings of relief.
The Griffins will take on Ashland on Thursday morning in Davenport.
