Seton Hill hosted Tiffin in a G-MAC contest on Sunday afternoon in Greensburg.
The Griffins were up 12-3 at the halftime break and cruised to a 23-7 victory. SHU is now 8-2 overall and 5-0 in the G-MAC. Â
Tiffin came out of the gates flying as they scored the first two goals of the contest and led 2-0 just over a minute into the contest. The Griffins responded with the final eight goals of the quarter as they led 8-2 after one quarter.Â
Dexter Hannigan and
Carter Li scored a pair of goals with
Kaden Granberg,
Riley Grudi.
Eliot Schratz and
Carter Green scoring single goals. Â
SHU then scored the first four goals of the second quarter as they built a 12-2 lead with 5:34 to play in the half.Â
Noah Radle, Grudi, Schratz and Hannigan scored in the 4-0 run. Tiffin closed out the second quarter scoring and trailed 12-3 at the halftime break. Â
Li and
Michael Coleman scored early in the third quarter to extend the lead to 14-3.Â
Gavin Erickson added a goal and
Nate Herbster added a pair of goals as SHU took a 17-4 lead after three quarters of play. Â
Shane Conlan and Logan Underland each scored a pair of goals in the fourth quarter.Â
Tiernan Lynch and
Cullen Green scored the other SHU goals for the Griffins in the fourth. Â
The Griffins outshot Tiffin 53-26 in the contest. SHU won 23 of the 33 faceoffs and won the ground ball battle 42-17.
Li and Hannigan each had three goals and an assist. Herbster added two goals and three assists.Â
Victor Rossi added three assists.Â
Cullen Green finished with 5 caused turnovers. Â
SHU will travel to Malone next Saturday. Â
