Seton Hill traveled to Edinboro for a PSAC West matchup on Saturday afternoon.
SHU jumped out to a 12-5 halftime lead and cruised to an 18-8 victory over the Fighting Scots. SHU is now 6-3 overall and 3-0 in the PSAC West.
Sydney Marusko and
Lani Filoon scored less than 30 seconds a part as the Griffins took an early 2-0 lead. After a Scot goal, Marusko and
Elena Traficante scored to put the Griffins in front 4-1with 8:54 left in the quarter.
Anna Alt made it 5-2 with a goal with 4:42 left. Traficante, Filoon and
Mila Udovicic scored the final three goals of the quarter as SHU took an 8-3 lead into the second quarter.
Udovicic scored a pair of goals with
Mya Hibsman and
Brooklyn Miller adding single goals as the Griffins built a 12-3 lead with 2:56 left in the half. Edinboro scored the final two goals of the first half.
The third quarter was all Seton Hill as the Griffins scored the only five goals of the quarter. Udovicic scored the first three with
Elle Spang and
Madison Jordan scoring the other two.
Traficante scored the lone goal of the fourth quarter for the Griffins.
Udovicic led SHU with 6 goals, 2 assists and 9 draw controls. Traficante finished with 3 goals.
Ruby DePalma added 4 assists.
SHU will travel to Slippery Rock on Wednesday afternoon for an important PSAC West matchup.
