The Griffins returned to G-MAC play on Monday afternoon with a conference matchup at Wheeling.
Seton Hill cruised to a 17-3 victory over the Cardinals. SHU is now 6-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
SHU jumped out to a 3-0 lead over the Cardinals after one quarter of action.Â
Carter Li got the Griffins on the scoreboard first.Â
Gavin Erickson and
Eliot Schratz scored the other SHU goals in the first quarter. Â
Carter Green and Li scored less than a minute apart to start the second quarter and extend the Griffin lead to 5-0 with 11:55 left in the half. Li scored his third midway through the quarter.Â
Noah Radle and
Tiernan Lynch scored in the final three minutes of the half as SHU led 8-0 at the break.Â
Kaden Granberg,
Nate Herbster and
Dexter Hannigan scored in the first half of the third quarter as the Griffins led 11-0. Hannigan scored later in the quarter as the Griffins led 12-2 after three quarters of action. Â
The Griffins added five more in the fourth to close out the win.Â
Victor Rossi scored a pair and
John Rebaudo IV,
Ayden Naranjo and
Ashton Merritt closed out the scoring for SHU.
Li led the Griffins with three goals and an assist. Rossi and Hannigan added a pair. Green added a goal and three assists.Â
