Seton Hill opened PSAC West play on Saturday afternoon as they hosted Pitt Johnstown in a conference doubleheader.  

Pitt Johnstown defeated the Griffins 3-1 in game one.  The Griffins earned the split with a 1-0 win in game two.  SHU is now 8-12 overall and 1-1 in the PSAC West.  

SHU got on the board first in game one. Abby Dejidas singled to open the inning.  She stole second.  Kassidy Wittig singled to put two runner on.  Later in the inning, Wittig scored when Lacey Lynn reached on a fielders choice as SHU took a 1-0 lead.  

UPJ took advantage of a SHU throwing error to score twice in the top of the third inning.  The Mountain Cats added an insurance run in the seventh to make it 3-1.  

Shelby Telegdy struck out eight in the loss.  

SHU scored the only run of the contest in the third inning of game two.  Rilie Moors singled to lead off the inning.  She stole second and moved to third on a throwing error.  Moors scored on an RBI ground out from Dejidas.  

Moors led the offense with three hits.  Anna Kalkowski and Skylah Steban each added two hits.  Lynn earned the win with a complete game shutout.  She allowed three hits and struck out six.  

The Griffins will continue PSAC West play on Sunday vs CalU.
