Seton Hill hosted Bloomsburg in a PSAC Crossover doubleheader on Sunday afternoon in Greensburg, PA.
The Huskies scored 13 times in game one as they defeated the Griffins 13-0. SHU earned the split with a 7-3 win in game two. SHU is now 12-5 overall. Bloom is now 9-3.
Bloomsburg scored three times in the top of the third inning as they took an early 3-0 lead over the Griffins.
The Huskies added eight runs in the fifth inning thanks to some Griffin wildness. The Huskies just had three hits in the inning.
Nate Dorinsky had two hits to lead SHU.
Bloomsburg scored two runs in the top of the third inning in game two as they took a 2-0 lead. The Griffins tied the game at two in the third inning.
Mason Metz homered to lead off the inning and cut the lead in half.
Austyn Winkleblech tripled and later scored on a
Jack Whalen RBI single.
The Griffins took a lead in the fourth. Dorinsky led off with a single.
Brady Stone walked and both runners moved up on a balk. Dorinsky scored on a Metz sacrifice fly.
Seton Hill added three more runs in the fifth inning as they took a 6-2 lead.
Jakob Haynes and Dorinsky each had RBIs in the inning.
Whalen and
Brady McGuire each had two hits in the win.
Adam Horst threw 3.2 scoreless innings. He struck out 4.
The Griffins will travel to Shepherd on Wednesday afternoon for another PSAC Crossover.
