Seton Hill returned to action after a week off with a trip to Clarion on Saturday afternoon.
The Griffins used a big second half as they defeated the Golden Eagles 98-84. SHU is now 15-5 overall and 11-3 in the PSAC. Clarion drops to 12-8 overall and 7-7 in the PSAC.
The first quarter featured four ties and eight lead changes. Clarion built their lead to as many as four points in the early portion of the quarter. Back to back three pointers from
Hallie Cowan gave SHU a 21-17 lead at the 1:38 mark of the quarter. Clarion tied the game at 21 at the end of the quarter.
The early portion of the second quarter featured two ties and neither team leading by more than three points. Clarion used a 10-0 run in less than a two minute stretch as they took a 38-31 lead with 5:13 left in the half. SHU used a 7-0 run, the final five from
Shaye Bailey to tie the score at 38 with 3:50 left. Clarion led 49-45 at the halftime break.

Hallie Cowan tied the game at 53 less than two minutes into the third quarter.
Helene Cowan's three pointer at the 5:45 mark of the quarter gave SHU a 58-56 lead, a lead they would not lose over the next 15 minutes. The lead jumped to as many as five points in the quarter before the Griffins settled for a 70-66 lead after three quarters of play.
Back to back baskets from
Hailee Ford pushed the Griffins lead to 82-69 with 6:17 left in the fourth. Clarion trimmed the lead to eight with four minutes to play but the Griffins responded with a quick five points from Ford to push the lead back to 89-76 with 3:32 left.
Hallie Cowan led the Griffins with a game high 29 points. Kalich posted a double double of 20 points and 14 rebounds. Ford added a double double of 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Helene Cowan finished with 11 points.
The Griffins will host California (PA) on Wednesday evening as they continue PSAC West action.
