Seton Hill hosted Pitt Johnstown in a PSAC West contest on Wednesday evening in the McKenna Center.

The Griffins defeated the Mountain Cats 85-70 as they clinched a spot in the PSAC Tournament with the victory.  SHU is now 15-12 overall and 9-10 in the PSAC.

SHU took a quick 8-0 lead in the contest and never looked back.  Kedrick Curtis scored four of the first eight points for the Griffins.  SHU then got hot from three point land as they hit three three's, the final from Camden Brewer as they led 22-14 with 11:21 to play.  UPJ cut the lead to three before the Griffins scored eight of the next nine points to lead 30-20 with 5:53 to play.  A three point play from Rashaad Williams extended the lead to eleven points with 4:59 left.  The Griffins led 36-27 at the halftime break.

The Griffin lead remained between 6 and 11 points over the first seven minutes of the second half.  A three from Dean Simos gave SHU a 56-46 lead with 12:48 to play.  UPJ answered back with a 7-0 run to trim the lead to 56-53 with 11:15 left.  UPJ held the SHU lead to single digits until the late portion of the half when Dimitrios Sklavenitis had a driving layup and Brewer hit a three to push the SHU lead to 81-68 with two minutes to play.

Simos led the Griffins with a game high 25 points.  Curtis added a double double of 21 points and 10 rebounds.  Williams finished with 14 points.  Sklavenitis added a double double of 13 points and 15 rebounds.  Brewer also hit double figures with 10.
