Seton Hill kicked off the home portion of their schedule by hosting Shepherd on Friday afternoon.
The Griffins outscored Shepherd 16-1 over the final three quarters as they defeated the Rams 17-4. SHU is now 1-1 overall.
Mila Udovicic opened the scoring in the contest giving SHU a 1-0 lead less than two minutes into the contest. Shepherd scored the final three goals of the quarter as they built a 3-1 lead.
SHU scored the first four goals of the second quarter as they built a 5-3 lead with five minutes left in the half.
Sydney Marusko scored a pair and Udovicic and
Ruby DePalma scored solo goals in the run. The Rams cut the lead to 5-4 with a goal with 4:29 to play. SHU then scored four times in the final three minutes of the half. Marusko scored a pair with
Anna Alt and Udovicic scoring woman up goals to give SHU a 9-4 lead at the halftime break.
Alt scored a pair of goals in the first four minutes of the third quarter to push the Griffin lead to 11-4. Udovicic scored with less than a minute to play as the Griffins led 12-4 after three quarters of play.
Marusko scored three more in the fourth quarter with Udovicic and
Madison Jordan adding goals.
Marusko led the Griffins with seven goals and two assists. Udovicic added five goals and three assists. Alt scored three times. DePalma and Jordan added a goal and two assists.
SHU will host Grand Valley State next Friday afternoon.
