Seton Hill made the trip to Charleston, WV for a three game set over the weekend. The three game set began with a single game on Friday evening in Charleston.
The Griffins scored four times in the top of the ninth inning as they rallied for a 9-8 win over the Eagles. SHU is now 3-1 on the season.
Gage Wheaton and
Colin Ahr collected RBIs in the first inning as the Griffins took a 3-1 lead over the Eagles. Charleston rallied to take a 5-4 lead over the Griffins heading to the fifth inning.
Jack Whalen tied the game for the Griffins in the top of the sixth at five. Charleston scored three times in the sixth and seventh as they took an 8-5 lead over the Griffins. SHU then scored four times in the ninth on two two RBI doubles from Wheaton and
Joe Fiedor.
Zach Herb got the final three outs for the save.
Whalen led the offense going 4-4. Wheaton and Fiedor each added two hits.
SHU will complete the three game set with a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.
