Seton Hill returned home to host California (PA) in PSAC West play on Wednesday evening in the McKenna Center.
CalU outscored the Griffins 45-21 in the second half in route to an 83-48 victory over the Griffins. SHU drops to 13-10 overall and 7-8 in the PSAC. CalU is now 16-6 overall and 13-2 in the PSAC. Â
Both teams got off to slow starts over the first seven minutes of the first half as CalU led 12-6 seven minutes into the first half.Â
Dimitrios Sklavenitis hit a three to trim the lead to 12-9. The Vulcans pushed their lead to ten points on a three pointer with 7:43 left in the half. The Vulcans pushed their lead to as many as 13 before leading 38-27 at the halftime break. Â
California (PA) continued to build their lead in the second half. The Griffins did get a 7-0 run late in the half on a three from Dean SImos and back to back layups from
Rashaad Williams. Â
Simos led the Griffins with 11 points off the bench. Williams added 9 points off the bench.Â
Kedrick Curtis added 8 points and Sklavenitis added 7.
The Griffins will host Gannon on Saturday afternoon in another PSAC West contest. Â
