The Griffins returned to the court for the first time in 2026 as they hosted Kutztown in a PSAC Crossover matchup on Friday afternoon.
Seton Hill jumped out to a 31-14 first quarter lead and cruised to an 83-53 victory over the Golden Bears. SHU is now 9-2 overall and 5-0 in PSAC action.
Kutztown hit a pair of threes to open a 6-2 lead just a minute into the contest. SHU responded with a 11-0 run as they took a 13-6 lead with 6:24 to play.
Hallie Cowan hit two threes and
Hailee Ford added a three in the run. SHU then closed the quarter on a 15-4 run over the final 3:50 of the quarter as they took a 31-14 lead after one quarter of action.
Back to back three pointers from
Helene Cowan extended the Griffin lead to 39-16 just three minutes into the second quarter. The Griffins led 45-25 after one half of action.
The SHU lead remained between 20 and 24 points until
Emma Fischer hit a three with 11 seconds left in the third quarter as the Griffins led 66-43 after three quarters of action.
The Griffins forced 29 Kutztown turnovers which led to 29 Griffin points.
Helene Cowan led four Griffins in double figures with 21 points.
Hallie Cowan and
Hailee Ford each added 12 points for the Griffins.
Mia Kalich just missed a double double with 10 points and nine rebounds.
SHU will host West Chester on Saturday afternoon in another PSAC Crossover matchup.
