Griffins Clinch PSAC Postseason Spot With Win at Edinboro

Seton Hill traveled north up Interstate 79 to Edinboro for a PSAC West matchup with Edinboro on Saturday afternoon.  

The Griffins led 12-3 at the half and defeated the Fighting Scots by the score of 20-4.  SHU is now 11-4 overall and 7-1 in the PSAC West. 

With the victory, the Griffins have clinched a spot in this year's PSAC Tournament.  

After Edinboro scored the first goal of the contest, the Griffins scored the final four goals of the quarter to build a 4-1 lead.  Mila Udovicic, Grace Agnello, Ruby DePalma and Amara Forsyth scored in the quarter for the Griffins.  

Skylar Orlowski and Ella Wroblewski scored less than a minute apart to open the scoring in the second quarter for the Griffins.  The Scots cut the lead to 6-2 but the Griffins then scored four times in less than two minutes to take a 10-2 lead.  Agnello scored a pair and Carley O'Mara and Brooklyn Miller scored the goals for SHU in the quick 4-0 run.  Agnello and Udovicic scored the last two goals for the Griffins as they led 12-3 at the half.  

The Griffins scored all five goals in the third quarter.  Udovicic, O'Mara, Agnello, Orlowski and Isabella Falcone scored for SHU in the third quarter.  

Sydney Marusko scored a pair and Wroblewski added a goal for the Griffins in the. fourth.

Agnello led the Griffins with five goals and an assist.  Orlowski added 2 goals and 6 assists.  Udovicic had three goals and two assists.  DePalma finished with a goal and four assists. 

SHU will travel to Slippery Rock on Wednesday afternoon in a battle for the top spot in the PSAC West standings.
