Seton Hill continued their Florida trip with a matchup under the lights with #8 St Leo on Thursday evening.
St Leo jumped out to a 10-5 halftime lead and defeated the Griffins by the score of 15-12. SHU is now 3-2 overall while St Leo improves to 7-1.
The Griffins took an early 2-0 lead over the Lions on goals from
Grace Agnello and Skylar Orlwoski in the first six minutes of the contest. St Leo scored the next three before
Carleigh Sutfin tied the score at three with 4:11 left in the first quarter. The Lions led 4-3 after one quarter of play.
St Leo took control of the contest with a 6-2 advantage in the second quarter. Orlowski and Agnello scored the SHU goals in the second quarter. The Griffins trailed the Lions 10-5 at the halftime break.
Sydney Marusko and Agnello scored for the Griffins in the third as they trailed 13-7 after three quarters of action.
A goal from Sutfin and two more from Agnello cut the lead to 14-10 with 9:19 left in regulation. After a St Leo goal, Marusko and Agnello rounded out the scoring for the Griffins.
Agnello led the offense with six goals. Sutfin and Orlowski each scored two goals and added an assist. Marusko scored a pair as well.
Mila Udovicic added two assists.
The Griffins will close out their spring trip on Saturday when they take on #6 Lynn at St Leo.
