Seton Hill continued PSAC Crossover action with a road matchup at Mansfield on Saturday afternoon.
The Griffins jumped out to a thirty point halftime lead and cruised to a 94-43 victory over the Mountaineers. SHU is now 7-2 overall and 3-0 in the PSAC.
The teams were tied at five early before a 6-0 Griffin run put the Griffins in front 11-5 with 6:37 left in the first quarter. SHU closed the first quarter with a 9-0 run as they took a 29-12 lead after one quarter of play.
Mia Kalich scored five of the points and
Emma Fischer scored the other four.
A 7-0 run, on five points from
Hallie Cowan increased the Griffin lead to more than 20 points at 42-20 with 3:32 to play in the first half. Atfer a Mansfield bucket, the Griffins used another 8-0 run to take a 50-22 lead with 1:41 left in the half. SHU led 54-24 at the halftime break.
The Griffins then used a 23-9 advantage in the third quarter as they built a 77-33 lead.
SHU shot 47% from the floor in the win while holding Mansfield to just 30%. The Griffins forced 28 turnovers and outrebounded the Mountaineers 52-34.
Hallie Cowan led five Griffins in double figures with 16 points.
Hailee Ford added 15 points.
Mia Kalich posts a double double of 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Helene Cowan added 12 points and
Emma Steidle also reached double figure with 10 points.
The Griffins will travel to Bloomsburg for a PSAC Crossover matchup on Sunday afternoon.
