Seton Hill hosted Pitt Greensburg in a non conference matchup on Tuesday afternoon in the McKenna Center.
The Griffins nearly reached the century mark as they defeated the Bobcats by the score of 99-77. SHU is now 5-0 on the season.
Seton Hill scored the first ten points of the contest and never looked back in the win.
Edir Ortiz and
Dimitrios Sklavenitis each scored five points in the 10-0 run. The Griffins built the lead to 24-7 on a tip in from
Kedrick Curtis at the midpoint of the first half. Back to back threes from UPG cut the Griffins lead back to eleven points. UPG used a late 6-0 run to trim the Griffins lead to 37-31 with 1:50 to play in the half. SHU closed the half on a 9-2 run as they took a 46-33 lead at the halftime break.
A quick 5-0 run from the Bobcats trimmed the Griffins lead to 61-55 at the 13:09 mark of the second half. A 5-0 run from the Griffins extended the lead back to 80-65 at the 7:22 mark of the half. A three point play from Sklavenitis pushed the lead to 84-67 with 5:36 left. The Griffins put the game away with a late 9-0 run.
Rashaad Williams and Sklavenitis led the Griffins with 18 points. Ortiz posted a double double of 16 points and 15 rebounds. Curtis posted a double double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Brandon Coury had 12 points and
Gabe Gillespie also reached double figures with 10.
SHU will travel to Glenville State on Saturday afternoon.
