Seton Hill began PSAC West play on Friday evening as they traveled to Slippery Rock for the conference opener.
Slippery Rock defeated the Griffins in four sets by the score of 3-1. SHU falls to 8-5 overall and 0-1 in the west. Slippery Rock improves to 8-7 overall and 1-1 in the west. Â
The Rock took the first set by the score of 25-23. Slippery Rock took a 2-0 lead by the score of 25-20. SHU took the third set by a 25-12 to cut the lead to 2-1. The Rock closed out the match with a 25-13 fourth set win.
Elizabeth Kolkowski and
Catie Flohr each had 13 kills to lead the Griffins.Â
Ella Deeter added seven kills.Â
Mallory Meinen finished with 24 assists and Deeter added 22.Â
Kendyl Wagner led the Griffins with 25 digs. Deeter also added 11.
SHU will travel to Clarion on Saturday for another PSAC West contest.Â
