Seton Hill began PSAC West play on Saturday afternoon as they traveled to Slippery Rock for the PSAC West opener. 
 
The Griffins got a late goal to tie the contest at one in a 1-1 tie to begin conference play.  SHU is now 2-0-2 overall and 0-0-1 in the PSAC West. 
 
Neither team was able to score in the first half of action.  The Griffins were outshot 17-1 in the half but Griffin keeper Sydney Caldwell made nine saves to keep the action scoreless.
 
Slippery Rock used an own goal from the Griffins with just under 22 minutes to play in the contest to take a 1-0 lead.  The Rock corner kick deflected in off a Griffin defender as the Rock took a 1-0 lead.  Seton Hill took advantage of a late foul just outside the box.  Mikayla Moyer fired the free kick into the right side of the net to tie the contest at one. 
 
Caldwell finished with 11 saves in the tie.
 
The Griffins will host California (PA) on Wednesday afternoon as they continue PSAC West play.
