For the final time, Seton Hill and Mercyhurst battled for the Great Midwest Athletic Conference crown at Saxon Stadium in Erie on Saturday afternoon.  The matchup is the seventh straight between the two teams in the G-MAC Final. 
 
The Lakers opened the scoring just under three minutes into the game.  SHU responded by a pair of goals from Braedan Lockyer to take a 2-1 lead with 6:39 to play.  Mercyhurst scored the final two of the quarter to lead 3-2.
 
Mercyhurst increased their lead to 4-2 50 seconds into the second quarter.  Andy Davis cut he lead to 4-3 with 12:33 to play.  Less than a minute later the Lakers pushed the lead back to two. The Griffins then scored three in a row to take a 6-5 lead.  Lockyer scored at the 10:56 mark, Peyton Gensler scored at the 10:23 mark and Carter Green scored with 4:41 to play.  The Lakers scored with 1:26 to play to tie the contest at six going into the half. 
 
Wade Brunelle opened the second half scoring with a goal at the 11:38 mark to put the Griffins in front 7-6.  Mercyhurst scored the next three goals and never trailed again.  Brunelle scored with 4:30 to play to cut the lead to 9-8 but the Lakers got a wild goal just at the buzzer of the third quarter to take a 10-8 lead. 
 
The Lakers scored two of the three goals in the fourth quarter and were able to just run out the clock.  Demetri Yerou scored the lone goal for the Griffins in the quarter. 
 
Lockyer scored three goals for the Griffins.  Brunelle scored a pair.  Will Cody made 15 saves in cage in the loss.
