Seton Hill opened PSAC Tournament play on Wednesday afternoon when they battled West Chester in Veterans Park in Quakertown, PA.
West Chester jumped on the Griffins for five runs in the first inning and defeated the Griffins by a 12-1 score. SHU falls to 35-16 overall and West Chester improves to 31-20 overall.
The Golden Rams scored five times in the top of the first inning with two home runs. Â
The Griffins got a run back in the third on an RBI single from
Nina Grandey that scored
Kassidy Wittig. Â
West Chester picked up single runs in the fourth and fifth. They added a five spot with two more homers in the seventh. Â
Grandey and
Lauren Dellett each had two hits.
SHU will play in an elimination game on Thursday afternoon at 12:30 PM. Â
