Seton Hill took a break from PSAC West play as they hosted Fairmont State in a non conference matchup on Tuesday afternoon.
The Griffins used a seven run fourth inning as they defeated the Falcons by the score of 11-0. SHU is now 22-9 overall. Â
The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the fourth inning when the Griffins scored seven times.Â
Owen Mandler led off the inning with a double.Â
Max Mandler singled to put runners on first and third. They moved up on a passed ball to give SHU a 1-0 lead.Â
Elijah Snider and
Owen Sabol walked to load the bases.Â
Braden Durham tripled to clear the bases and extend the lead to 4-0.Â
Jack Whalen doubled to make it 5-0. Later in the inning,
Max Mandler closed out the scoring with a sacrifice fly. Â
In the fifth,
Joe Fiedor knocked in
Braden Durham with an RBI groundout. Whalen and Fiedor each picked up RBIs in the seventh. Â
Matt Frazetta drove in the final run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth. Â
Whalen had two hits for the Griffins. Durham drove in three and Fiedor drove in two.Â
SHU will return to action on Friday when they travel to Indiana (PA). Â
