Griffins Clinch Home Contest in G-MAC Semifinal

Box Score Seton Hill continued G-MAC play on Saturday evening with a matchup in Elkins, WV against Davis and Elkins. 
 
The Griffins jumped out to a 16-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 26-0 victory.  SHU is now 9-5 overall and 6-1 in the G-MAC.  With the victory, the Griffins clinch one of the top two spots in the G-MAC and will host one of the G-MAC Semifinals. 
 
SHU scored four times in the first three minutes of the contest as they took a 4-0 lead.  Peyton Gensler had a pair of goals while Braedan Lockyer and Nate Herbster scored one.  Carter Green and Gensler scored twenty seconds a part as SHU built a 6-0 lead with 8:17 to play in the first.  Herbster and Coleman scored the final two goals as SHU led 8-0 after one. 
 
Kaden Granberg scored the first two goals of the second quarter for the Griffins.  Herbster followed with a pair and SHU led 12-0 with 5:47 to play before the half.  Demetri Yerou and Colin Socker followed with goals.  Blake Morrow scored twice in the final minute of the half as SHU built a 16-0 lead. 
 
The Griffins scored four times in the third quarter.  Two Herbster goals were sandwiched between two Wade Brunelle goals. 
 
John Rebaudo IV and Noah VandeWater scored a pair of goals for the Griffins in the fourth.  Lockyer and Andrew Mathieu added one.
 
The Griffins outshot D&E 79-12 in the contest.  SHU won 21-30 faceoffs. 
 
Herbster led the Griffins with 6 goals and 1 assist. Gensler added 3 goals and 2 assists.   VandeWater, Rebaudo IV, Morrow, Brunelle, Lockyer and Granberg each scored a pair of goals. Lockyer added 2 assists.
 
SHU will return home on Tuesday and close out the regular season as they host Walsh at 3:30 PM.
