Women's Lacrosse Runs Win Streak to Six

The Griffins continued PSAC West play on Saturday afternoon as they hosted Mercyhurst on a rainy DSG Field.  

Seton Hill ran its winning streak to six with a 16-10 victory over the Lakers.  SHU is now 6-3 overall and 4-0 in the PSAC West.  

The Griffins opened the game scoring three times in the first four minutes to build.a 3-0 lead.  Tori Krapp, Grace Agnello and Skylar Orlowski scored for the Griffins.  Orlwoski and Ruby DePalma scored for the Griffins in the final five minutes as they took a 5-2 lead.  

Mercyhurst scored the opening goal in the second but the Griffins answered back with five straight goals to take a 10-3 lead with 2:50 to play in the half.  Makenna Twombley scored twice with Orlowski, Agnello and Ella Wroblewski adding a goal.  The Lakers scored the final goal of the quarter as SHU led 10-4 at the half.  

The Lakers outscored the Griffins 3-1 in the third quarter as they trimmed the lead to 11-7.  Wroblewski scored the lone SHU goal in the quarter. 

Agnello opened the fourth quarter scoring with a goal with 11:06 to play.  The Lakers answered at the ten minute mark but the Griffins responded with four straight to take a 16-8 lead.  Brooklyn Miller scored the first with Orlowski adding the second.  Mila Udovicic closed out the scoring with a pair of goals.  

Orlowski led SHU with four goals and four assists.  Agnello finished with three.  Udovicic, Twombley and Wroblewski each scored two.  Udovicic added a pair of assists.  DePalma added a goal and assist.  

SHU will host Lock Haven in an important PSAC West matchup on Wednesday afternoon.
