Women's Lacrosse Cruises to PSAC West Win In Erie

The Griffin women's lacrosse team continued PSAC West play on Wednesday afternoon in Erie with a matchup with Gannon.  

Seton Hill used a 12-1 second half performance and a career high seven goals from Skylar Orlowski as the Griffins defeated Gannon 22-7.  SHU is now 5-3 overall and 3-0 in the PSAC West.  

Gannon took an early 2-1 lead on the Griffins less than five minutes into the contest.  Skylar Orlowski tied the game at two with her second at just under the ten minute mark but Gannon responded 39 seconds later to retake the lead 3-2.  SHU then scored three times in the final four minutes of the quarter to take a 5-3 lead.  Anara Forsyth, Tori Krapp and Carleigh Sutfin scored in the 3-0 run.  

Goals from Brooklyn Miller and Grace Agnello pushed the Griffin lead to 7-3 early in the second quarter.  After a Knight goal, the Griffins responded with goals from Mila Udovicic and Orlowski to lead 9-4.  Gannon then scored two of the final three goals of the half to trim the lead to 11-6.  Ella Wroblewski scored the Griffin goal.

The third quarter was all Seton Hill as they outscored the Knights 6-0.  Orlowski scored three in the quarter with Piper Conlan, Carly VanMater and Wroblewski scoring the other three.  

The Griffins continued to pour it on as they scored the first five goals of the fourth quarter.  Conlan scored a pair with Sutfin, Agnello and Forsyth scoring the others.  

Orlowski led the Griffins with the career high seven goals and an assist.  Conlan added three goals and an assist.  Sutfin, Wroblewski, Agnello and Forsyth each added scored twice.  Udovicic added a goal and three assists.  Ruby DePalma assisted on two goals.  

Allison Hathaway made seven saves in the first half while Gia Castellano recorded eight in the second half.

SHU will now host Mercyhurst on Saturday.
