Seton Hill hit the road for the first time in PSAC West play as they traveled to Slippery Rock for an important early season matchup.
The Griffins outscored the Rock 10-0 in the first quarter and never looked back in a 17-7 victory over the Rock. SHU is now 4-3 overall and 2-0 in the PSAC West. The Rock falls to 4-2 overall and 0-1 in the west.
Ella Wroblewski got the Griffins on the scoreboard less than two minutes into the contest.Â
Carleigh Sutfin made it 2-0 with a goal at the ten minute mark.Â
Grace Agnello and
Mila Udovicic scored 23 seconds a part as SHU built a 4-0 lead with 7:53 to play in the first.Â
Brooklyn Miller and
Ruby DePalma scored 22 seconds a part as SHU took a 6-0 lead with 5:29 left. Agnello's second made it 7-0 for the Griffins. SHU then scored three times in the last 1:33 with Wroblewski scoring one and
Skylar Orlowski adding two. Â
DePalma scored the lone SHU goal of the second quarter as the Griffins took an 11-2 lead into the halftime break. Â
Sutfin opened the third quarter scoring for the Griffins and Orlowski added two more as SHU built a 14-3 lead after three quarters of play. Â
Orlowski opened the scoring for SHU in the fourth and DePalma and
Piper Conlan closed out the scoring for SHU. Â
The Griffins outshot the Rock 31-19. The Griffins won fifteen draw controls.
Orlowski led the Griffins with ten points on five goals and five assists. DePalma added three. Sutfin scored twice and added an assist. Agnello and Wroblewski each added two. Miller scored a goal and added three assists while Udovicic added a goal and two assists. Â
The Griffins will travel to Gannon on Wednesday. Â
