Seton Hill continued a two game road trip with a contest at Slippery Rock on Saturday afternoon.
Slippery Rock took an eleven point halftime lead and continued to add on to it in the second half as they defeated the Griffins by a 77-55 score. SHU falls to 12-9 overall and 7-8 in the PSAC while the Rock improves to 11-10 overall and 9-6 in the PSAC.
Kedrick Curtis scored the first six points for the Griffins as they took an early 6-4 lead just over five minutes into the contest. Slippery Rock responded with an 11-2 run as they took a 15-8 lead midway through the half.
The Rock increased their lead to ten, 26-16 with just over four minutes to play in the half.
Dimitrios Sklavenitis hit a three to cut the lead back to seven. Slippery Rock pushed their lead to 14 before
Drew Green hit a three pointer at the buzzer to cut the Rock lead to 33-22 at the halftime break.
In the second half, the Griffins would get no closer than ten points. The last time being a three pointer from
Ryan Meis that cut the lead to 37-27 with 17:06 to play. The Rock built their lead to as many as 23 in the half.
Curtis led the Griffins with 14 points.
Camden Brewer finished with 11 points. Sklavenitis also reached double figures with 10 points.
Caleb Whitaker just missed double figures with eight.
Seton Hill returns home to host one of the PSAC West leaders in California (PA) on Wednesday evening.
