Seton Hill made the trip across the state for a battle of the Griffins as they took on Chestnut Hill in a non conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.
Chestnut Hill outscored the Griffins 13-9 in the second overtime period as they defeated Seton Hill 97-93. SHU falls to 9-3 overall.

Gabe Gillespie gave the Griffins an early 10-6 lead less than four minutes into the first half. Chestnut Hill went on an 11-0 run over a three minute stretch as they built a 24-16 lead with 8:04 to play in the half. Chestnut Hill built their lead to eleven points at 31-20 with 5:50 left in the half. Over the final 5:50 of the half, the teams exchanged baskets with
Ryan Meis hitting a three pointer at the buzzer to trim the lead to 43-32 at the halftime break.
Gage Lattimore opened the second half by hitting two three pointers to cut the lead to 43-38. Chestnut Hill answered with five straight as they pushed their lead back to ten with 17:18 left.
Camden Brewer drilled back to back three pointers as SHU trailed 48-44 with 16:06 left. Chestnut Hill scored five straight to push the lead back to ten but the Griffins answered with a 13-0 run capped by three pointers from Lattimore and Meis. SHU led 57-53 with 9:23 to play.
Chestnut Hill hit five free throws to take back a one point lead with a little more than eight minutes left. Gillespie put the Griffins in front 62-61 with 6:57 to play.
Edir Ortiz hit a three and followed that with a layup as the Griffins took a 67-63 lead with 4:23 to play. Gillespie followed with a dunk and SHU led 69-63 with under four minutes to play. SHU led 73-65 before Chestnut Hill hit two three pointers to cut the lead to 74-71 with 25 seconds to play. Meis hit a pair of free throws to push the lead to 76-71 with 16 seconds left. Chestnut Hill hit a three and a jumper to tie the game at 76 and send the contest to overtime.
The teams exchanged baskets to open the overtime period. With the Griffins trailing late, Meis hit a three pointer with 3.7 seconds to play to tie the score at 84 and send the game to a second overtime period.
Gillespie hit a pair of free throws to tie the score at 86 with four minutes to play in the second overtime period as the teams exchanged two points with three ties to open the second overtime period. Chestnut Hill took a 93-90 lead with 1:30 to play on a three pointer. Chestnut Hill then hit four free throws down the stretch to close out the win.
Meis leads 5 Griffins in double figures with 20. Belade added 17 points. Lattimore and Gillespie each scored 16. Ortiz added 11.
The Griffins will continue PSAC Crossover action on Wednesday afternoon with a matchup at home against East Stroudsburg.
