Seton Hill made the trip north on I-79 for a PSAC West matchup with Edinboro on Wednesday evening under the lights.
SHU led 2-1 but the Scots scored with less than a minute to play as the two teams played to a 2-2 tie. SHU is now 4-2-4 overall and 2-2-3 in the west. Edinboro is 3-3-3 overall and 3-3-1 in the west.
Neither team was able to crack the scoreboard in the first half of the contest. The Griffins led in shots in the half, 5-1. SHU also had six corner kicks to one for the Scots.
Just over seven minutes into the second half, the Griffins took a 1-0 lead on a goal from
Brenna Springer. With 23 minutes remaining in the match, the Scots tied the score at one. With just under seven minutes to play, the Griffins retook the lead on a goal from
Corynna Rotoli. Edinboro then tied the score with 48 seconds left to play.
Rotoli and
Jessica Molitoris each had two shots on goal.
Sydney Caldwell made three saves in net.
SHU will kick off round two of PSAC West play on Saturday as they host Slippery Rock.
