Seton Hill continued PSAC West play with a home matchup with Slippery Rock as they kicked off the second round of conference play on Saturday afternoon.
Slippery Rock scored the game winner with less than six minutes to play in the contest as they defeated the Griffins by the score of 2-1. SHU is now 4-3-4 overall and 2-3-3 in the west. The Rock is now 5-3-3 overall and 5-1-2 in the west.
Neither team cracked the scoreboard in the first half. The Rock held an 8-7 advantage in shots in the half. SHU held a 3-1 advantage in corners in the half.
The Rock took a 1-0 lead just 1:36 into the second half of play. Seton Hill tied the contest at one on a goal from
Samantha Hallo with a little under 19 minutes to play.
Lucia Lorenzo Parga assisted on the goal. With 5:52 to play the Rock retook the lead.
Sydney Caldwell finished with nine saves for the Griffins. SHU will head to Pitt Johnstown next Saturday for another PSAC West matchup.
