Men's Soccer Earns PSAC West Road Win

Seton Hill continued PSAC West play on Saturday afternoon as they traveled to Windber, PA for a matchup with Pitt Johnstown.

The Griffins scored a first half goal then added two more in the second for a 3-1 victory over the Mountain Cats.  SHU is now 6-1-2 overall and 2-0-1 in the west.  

Seton Hill took a 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute of the contest on a goal from Nils Heinrich.  Brandon Knapp assisted on the Griffin goal.  SHU took the 1-0 lead into the halftime break.  The Griffins outshot UPJ 12-4 in the half.  

Just 1:13 into the second half the Griffins extended their lead to 2-0 on a goal from Julian Marker.  UPJ cut the lead to 2-1 in the 53rd minute of the contest.  The Griffins put the game away with a goal with six minutes to play from Keegan Amos.  Brice Gandhi assisted on the goal.  

SHU outshot UPJ 25-9 in the contest.  The Griffins had 11 corner kicks to none for UPJ.

Marker led SHU with four shots on goal.  Vasilis Christodoulou added two.  Jonathan Leary made one save in net.

SHU will host Shippensburg on Wednesday in a non conference matchup.
