Seton Hill hosted #12 Gannon on Wednesday afternoon at DSG Field in a PSAC West matchup.
Each team scored a goal in one half as the teams played to a 1-1 tie. SHU is now 9-4-3 overall and 4-2-2 in the west. Gannon is now 11-2-3 overall and 5-0-3 in the west.
The Griffins took a 1-0 lead on a nice passing play.Â
Vasilis Christodoulou hit
James Aubrey and hit one touch pass connected with
Nils Heinrich who beat the keeper to the left side of the net for a 1-0 SHU lead with a little over 10 minutes to play in the half. Â
Gannon tied the score in the 85th minute with a penalty kick goal.
Heinrich finished with four shots on goal to lead the Griffins.Â
Jonathan Leary recorded six saves in net for the Griffins.
SHU will host Pitt Johnstown on Saturday afternoon in another PSAC West contest. It will be Senior Day for the Griffins. Â
