Seton Hill closed out play in the Nova Southeastern Tournament with a pair of games on Saturday. The took on Eckerd in the first contest and ended the tourney with a match with Dominican (NY).
The Griffins took the first set from Eckerd but dropped the next three sets in a four set loss. SHU completed the tourney with a sweep of Dominican.
SHU won a tight first set by the score of 26-24. Eckerd responded with wins of 25-18, 25-14 and 25-18 to take the match by a 3-1 score.
Paige Cole led the Griffins with a match high 19 kills.
Payton Rodberg added six kills.
Abby Oesterling led SHU with 17 assists and 12 digs. Cole added 11 digs.
The Griffins won the first set by a 25-17 score. SHU took a 2-0 lead over Dominican (NY) with a 25-14 second set win. They completed the sweep with a 25-12 third set win.
Cole and Rodberg led the Griffins with 10 kills each.
Catie Flohr added 7 kills. Oesterling led SHU with 23 assists.
Ella Deeter added 14 assists.
Kendyl Wagner finished with nine digs.
The Griffins will play in the Malone/Walsh Tournament next weekend.
