The men's soccer team continued non conference play on Wednesday afternoon in Caldwell, NJ against Caldwell University.
Caldwell scored the first five goals of the contest in a 5-1 victory over the Griffins.
Caldwell took a 1-0 lead over the Griffins into the halftime break. The Griffins outshot the Cougars 8-5 in the first half.
Jonathan Leary made two saves in the first half for the Griffins.
The Cougars then scored four straight goals to start the second half to take a 5-0 lead.
Brice Gandhi scored the Griffin goal late in the contest.
Julian Marker assisted on the goal.
Leary finished with two saves in net. Gandhi led SHU with three shots, two on goal.
The Griffins will travel to Roberts Wesleyan next Wednesday for another non conference matchup.
