Seton Hill continued PSAC West play as they hosted Indiana (PA) on Saturday afternoon in Greensburg.
Indiana (PA) won game one by a 3-0 score. SHU earned the split with a 3-2 win in game two. The Griffins are now 16-12 overall and 9-5 in the PSAC West.
IUP picked up an unearned run in the top of the third inning and added two more with a two run homer in the top of the fifth inning.
Five different Griffins each had a hit in the loss.
IUP scored a run in the top of the first inning of game two as they took a 1-0 lead. The Griffins tied the score at one in the bottom of the third inning.
Camryn Murphy singled to lead off the inning. She moved to third when
Nina Grandey reached on a bunt base hit. After an out, Murphy scored when
Brooke Cleland grounded out to tie the score at one.
SHU took the lead in the fifth.
Lauren Dellett singled with one out and scored when
Brooke Cleland homered over the left center field wall as SHU took 3-1 lead over IUP.
The Crimson Hawks got one of those runs back in the top of the sixth with a solo homer to left field with one out.
Chloe Elliott earned the win, going six innings. Dellett earned the save with a scoreless seventh. Murphy, Cleland and
Bre Athey each had two hits for SHU.
The Griffins will host Clarion on Tuesday for another PSAC West doubleheader.
