Seton Hill continued PSAC West play as they hosted Clarion on Tuesday afternoon in Greensburg.

SHU took game one by the score of 5-1.  The Griffins completed the sweep with an 8-0 win in game two in five innings.  SHU is now 18-12 overall and 11-5 in the PSAC West.

SHU took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.  With one out, Nina Grandey singled.  She stole second with two outs and scored when Brooke Cleland launched an 0-1 pitch over the left center field wall for a two run homer.

Clarion scored a single run in the top of the third inning to cut the Griffin lead to 2-1.

The Griffins added insurance runs in the sixth.  Camryn Murphy homered down the left field line to lead off the inning.  Grandey followed with a double, stole third and scored on a Mackenzie Zang groundout.  Cleland doubled and Lauren Dellett reached on an infield single with one out.  Brooklyn Fukushima singled to score the fifth run of the game as SHU took a 5-1 lead.

Dellett earned her 11th win of the season with a complete game effort.  Grandey, Murphy and Cleland each had two hits.

SHU scored three times in the bottom of the second inning.  Grace Paredes led off with an infield single.  After a fielders choice, Abby Smearman doubled to left center to score Brooklyn Fukushima and give SHU a 1-0 lead.  Bre Athey then executed a squeeze play to score Smearman with Athey moving to third on the play.  Athey scored on a sacrifice fly from Murphy as SHU took a 3-0 lead.

Three straight hits in the third loaded the bases.  Paredes, Fukushima and Smearman singled to load the bases with one out.  Athey homered on the first pitch she saw down the left field line as the Griffins took a 7-0 lead.

Pinch runner Morgan Hershberger stole second and scored on two errors as the Griffins took an 8-0 lead.
