Seton Hill continued PSAC West play on Friday afternoon with a home doubleheader against Indiana (PA).

The Griffins defeated IUP 5-1 in game one and completed the sweep with a 7-2 win in game two of the doubleheader.  SHU is now 22-7 overall and 10-0 in the PSAC West.  

SHU took a quick 2-0 lead in game one just eight pitches into the contest.  Jack Whalen doubled to lead off the game and scored when Jack Oberdorf homered to center field to give SHU a 2-0 lead.  

The Griffins added another run in the second inning.  Owen Sabol singled with one out.  He scored on a two out double from Joe Fiedor.  

IUP cut the Griffins lead to 3-1 in the top of the third.  SHU added two more runs in the fourth.  Sabol and Jared Dowey singled and both scored on an error after Fiedor singled.  

Sabol and Fiedor led the Griffins with two hits.  Kevin Vaupel won his fifth game of the season.  He gave up just one run and struck out eight.  

Seton Hill jumped all over IUP in the first inning of game two by scoring five runs.  Whalen singled and Oberdorf walked to put two runners on.  Vincenzo Rauso singled in a run.  After a lineout, Braden Durham drove in Oberdorf with a single,  Sabol walked to load the bases.  Logan Vietmeier singled to drive in two and Dowey added a sacrifice fly to give SHU a 5-0 lead.  

IUP scored twice in the top of the third inning.  SHU added two more in the fifth.  Whalen singled and stole second.  Rauso singled to put runners on first and third.  Max Mandler doubled to score Mandler.  Durham singled to score the seventh run.  

Whalen, Rauso and Durham each had two hits for SHU.  Jon McCullough earned the win.  He went the distance, giving up two runs on five hits and striking out six.  

SHU will travel to IUP on Saturday for a PSAC West doubleheader.
