Seton Hill began PSAC West play and played their home opener as they hosted Edinboro on Wednesday afternoon at DSG Field.
Fifteen different Griffins scored a goal as Seton Hill cruised to a 22-0 victory over the Fighting Scots. SHU is now 3-3 overall and 1-0 in the west while Edinboro falls to 2-3 overall and 0-1 in the west. Â
The Griffins scored five times in the first five minutes of the contest as they jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead.Â
Skylar Orlowski scored twice while
Megan Bunker,
Ruby DePalma and
Piper Conlan each scored one goal in the early run.Â
Elizabeth Tamasitis scored at the 8:57 mark while
Mila Udovicic and
Alaina TeSelle scored the final two goals of the quarter as SHU built an 8-0 lead. Â
Orlowski and
Carleigh Sutfin scored thirteen seconds apart to start the second quarter scoring.Â
Hannah Thompson scored before the ten minute mark as SHU took a 11-0 lead. Udovicic scored her second and Mikayla Kintner scored her first of the season as the Griffins led 13-0 with five minutes to play in the half.Â
Corynna Rotoli and
Megan Bunker closed out the Griffin scoring in the first half. Â
Amara Forsyth opened the scoring in the third quarter for the Griffins. Tamasitis scored her second of the game at the 8:05 mark of the quarter.Â
Tori Krapp scored on a free position to extend the Griffins lead to 18-0 with 6:14 left in the third.Â
Sydney Marusko scored with 43 seconds left in the quarter. Â
Josie Jones kicked off the scoring in the fourth quarter. Udovicic scored her third and Marusko scored her second to close out the scoring for the Griffins. Â
Orlowski and Udovicic led the Griffins with three goals and an assist. Bunker finished with two goals and two assists. Tamasitis and Marusko added two goals. DePalma finished with a goal and three assists. Â
SHU will continue PSAC West play on Saturday when they host Slippery Rock. Â
