Seton Hill closed out their Florida trip with a top 20 matchup with #10 Rollins on Saturday afternoon in Winter Park.
The tenth ranked Tars scored the first four goals of the contest and never trailed in the 13-10 victory over the Griffins. SHU drops to 2-3 overall while the Tars stay unbeaten at 7-0.
Rollins scored the first four goals of the contest as they built a 4-0 lead over the Griffins.
Piper Conlan and
Grace Agnello scored 13 seconds apart to trim the lead to 4-2 at the end of the first quarter.
The Tars scored the first three goals of the second quarter as they built a 7-2 lead.
Skylar Orlowski and
Alaina TeSelle scored less than a minute apart as they cut the lead to 7-4 with 10:03 to play. The teams then exchanged goals as SHU got goals from Agnello and
Ruby DePalma to trail 9-6 at the half.
Rollins opened the third quarter as well by scoring three straight goals to take a 12-6 lead.
Elizabeth Tamasitis scored the final two goals of the quarter to cut the lead to 12-8 after three quarters.
Tamasitis and Orlowski scored goals for SHU in the fourth quarter.
Tamasitis led the Griffins with three goals. Orlowski and Agnello each scored twice. TeSelle finished with a goal and two assists. Agnello added a goal and assist.
The Griffins will travel to Edinboro on Wednesday to begin PSAC West play.
