It did not take the Griffins long to get on the scoreboard.  Jack Whalen led off the game with a double to left center field.  He moved to third on a bunt base hit from Jack Oberdorf.  Max Mandler singled to drive in Whalen and move Oberdorf to third.  Vincenzo Rauso's sacrifice fly scored Oberdorf and Logan Vietmeier followed with a double to make it 3-0.

Joe Fiedor homered with one out in the top of the second inning to extend the SHU lead to 4-0.

Sioux Falls got a runner to third with no one out in the third but SHU starter Kevin Vaupel got a pop out back to him on a bunt and two strikeouts to end the inning.

SHU added two more runs in the fourth.  Colin Marinpetro singled to lead off the inning.  He was safe at second on an error on Owen Sabol's sac bunt.  Joe Fiedor reached on an infield single with Marinpetro thrown out at the plate.  Whalen followed with an RBI single and Oberdorf added a sacrifice fly to make it 6-0.

The Griffins increased their lead to 9-0 in the seventh.  Mandler drew a leadoff walk.  He scored when Rauso doubled to right center field.  One out later, Braden Durham homered off the screen in left field to knock in Rauso.  Mandler added a two RBI double in the ninth.

Mandler led the Griffins with three hits and three RBI.  Whalen, Marinpetro, Sabol and Fiedor each had two hits.  Rauso and Durham each knocked in two.
