Seton Hill hit the road for a PSAC West contest at Clarion on Monday evening.

The Griffins led for the final twenty eight minutes as they defeated the Golden Eagles by the score of 66-56.  SHU improves to 13-9 overall and 9-8 in the PSAC.

Clarion scored the first six points of the game on back to back three pointers before baskets from Samuel Tabe, Ryan Meis and Jimmy Moon tied the score at six at the 16:55 mark.  Sean Dillon's three pointer tied the score at 13 midway through the first half.

A three pointer from James Rice and a basket from Caleb Whitaker put the Griffins in front 20-15 with 5:32 to play in the half.  Tabe then scored the final four points of the half as Seton Hill built a 28-19 score.

Tabe and Dillon scored back to back layups to open the second half as they extended their leads to 32-19.  Back to back layins from Gabe Gillespie and Rice along with two Dillon free throws pushed the Griffins advantage to fourteen at 43-29 with 12:54 left in the half.  Three pointers from Dillon and Drew Green kept the Griffins lead at fourteen, 49-35, midway through the half.

Six straight free throws from the Golden Eagles trimmed the SHU lead to 49-41 with 8:18 left to play.  The teams exchanged free throws and SHU led 51-43 with 6:21 to play.  Tabe scored the next six Griffin points to push the lead back to eleven points.  Clarion got back to within seven with just under two minutes to play but a Tabe layup and four free throws closed out the game for SHU.

Dillon led the Griffins with a game high 21 points.  Tabe posted a double double of 19 points and 11 rebounds.
